Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where you can float effortlessly in its mineral-rich waters and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of its unique mud. This tour also takes you to Jerash, often called the “Pompeii of the East,” with its remarkably preserved Roman ruins including Hadrian’s Gate, the Hippodrome, the Cardo Maximus, and ancient temples.
Explore Ajlun Castle, a Crusader fortress offering stunning views of the surrounding hills. No visit to Jordan is complete without Petra, the legendary “Rose City,” carved into pink sandstone cliffs by the Nabateans over 2,000 years ago. Wander through the Siq to the iconic Treasury, discover the Royal Tombs, the Theatre, and climb to the impressive Monastery, “Ad Deir,” for breathtaking panoramic views. Adventure continues in Little Petra and the vast desert of Wadi Rum, known as the Valley of the Moon. Departure on a regular flight to Amman. Arrival and transfer to the selected category hotel. Dinner (provided the arrival at the hotel is before 9:00 PM). Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Afterwards, transfer to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, descending to almost 400 meters below sea level, where we can enjoy a swim. Return to Amman. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Next, we will tour Amman, including the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum, and the Roman Theatre. Afterwards, we will visit Jerash, also known as “Gerasa,” a Greco-Roman city that was part of the Decapolis and is known as the “Pompeii of the East” due to its importance and excellent state of preservation. Highlights include: Hadrian’s Gate, the Hippodrome, the Theatre, the Agora (Forum) with its complete colonnade, the Cardo Maximus, the Temple of Zeus, and the Temple of Artemis.
Afterwards, we will visit Ajlun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and later rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after its destruction by the Mongols. This Crusader-era castle is located atop a mountain, offering beautiful panoramic views.
Return to Amman. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast and departure to Madaba. Arrival and visit to St. George’s Church, with its famous mosaic depicting all the biblical territories. Next, visit Mount Nebo, from whose summit Moses viewed the Promised Land. Visit the mosaic collection. Afterwards, continue to Petra. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Full day dedicated to visiting Petra, known as the “Rose City,” where over 2,000 years ago the Nabateans established the capital of their empire for 500 years, carving remarkable temples and tombs into the rose-colored mountains and developing advanced agricultural and water management systems. The tour begins at the Tomb of the Obelisks, continuing through the Siq, a canyon over 1 km long, which opens onto the Treasury, a colossal tomb adorned with columns and sculptures of incomparable refinement and beauty. Afterwards, visit the Street of Facades and the theatre before ascending 850 steps to reach the impressive Monastery “Ad Deir.” Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Visit Little Petra, inhabited by the Nabateans, featuring numerous tombs, water containers, and channels. A small path leads to the inner area, Siq Al Bared; its scale and connection to Petra earned it the name Little Petra. Afterwards, depart for Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon. Excursion and 4x4 ride of approximately 2 hours through the pink sands of the desert. Transfer to the camp, dinner, and overnight stay.
Breakfast. Transfer to Amman at the scheduled time, arrival at the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
