After breakfast, you will depart towards the ancient city of Jerash. You will enter through the south gate, through which you will immediately find yourself in the ancient Roman city. You will walk on the oval square delimited by colonnades of Ionic style, you will visit the Roman theater, as well as the Byzantine churches and their mosaic floor. You will also visit the colonnaded street called Cardo, a street through which you will have the opportunity to discover the Nymphaeum, a monumental fountain dedicated to nymphs. Besides, you will discover the marvelous acoustics of the theater, scene of the Jerash music festival which takes place every year. During the visit to Jerash, you will also have the opportunity to discover how the Romans built the anti-seismic columns of Cardo Street. You will then depart for Ajloun, a town that features the ruins of a military castle that was used by Saladino's Islamic troops to protect the region against the Crusaders. Finally, back to the capital, Amman, you explore the latter, known for its Citadel, its Roman Ruins and its Roman Theater located in the active center of the old souk. Dinner and accommodation will be at the hotel in Amman.
