Day 1 - Amman Airport – Amman
Arrive to Amman airport (QAIA). Meet and greet at the airport. Transfer to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2 - AMMAN - MADABA - MT. NEBO - SHOBAK – PETRA
Breakfast at the hotel then drive to visit Madaba which is located 30 kilometres south-west of the capital Amman. It is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, especially a large Byzantine-era mosaic map of The Holy Land. Madaba, one of the most spectacular churches around the world; ST. George church where you will find the Mosaic Map of Jerusalem painted on the floor of the church. Continuye the drive to Mt. Nebo, the place where Moses buried. You are lucky if the sky is clear enough; you will have a wonderful view up from the mountain seeing the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Jericho in the other bank of the Jordan River. Continue the drive south to visit Shoubak Castle which is perched on top of a small hill northeast of the town of Shobak. Inside the fortress there are two churches, the first of which is to the left of the entrance and up the stairs. There are ruins of baths, cisterns and rainwater pipes, in addition to millstones for pressing olives, a few archways and other works which have stood the test of time. Drive straight to the hotel in Petra for overnight.
Day 3 - PETRA FULL DAY VISIT
After breakfast, a full day dedicated for the exploration of the breathtaking Nabataean city of Petra which was carved out of the rose-red sandstone about 2,000 years ago & has recently been voted as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The tour starts by passing by the Obelisk Tomb and then proceeding through the Siq the narrow gorge that leads to Petras most impressive monument, the Treasury. Then on to the Street of Facades, the Theater, the Royal Tombs, the Colonnaded Street, the Byzantine Church, the Temple, the Monumental Arch, Qasr el-Bint Faroun & finally climb up to the gigantic 1st century AD monument of the Monastery if you wish. Petra is undoubtedly one of the worlds greatest tourist attractions and you will spend as much time as you like with your private guide exploring all of the key sites in the central area, and perhaps a few hidden secrets, whilst learning about its history. Return back to your hotel in Petra for overnight.
Day 4 - PETRA - LITTLE PETRA - WADI RUM (02 h 4x4)
After brekfast, drive to visit Little Petra: Siq el-Barid (Little Petra) located close to the main site. the visitor can walk through 8,000 year old excavated Stone Age village sat Beidah This is Petra in miniature with a modest gorge but wonderful rock-cut temples, caves and multi-colored rock faces and, being less-visited, it has an atmosphere all of its own. Then transfer to visit Wadi Rum: Uniquely shaped massive mountains rise vertically out of the pink desert sand, which separate one dark mass from another in magnificent desert scenery of strange breathtaking beauty, with towering cliffs of weathered stone. The faces of the sheer rock cliffs have been eroded by the wind into faces of men, animals and monsters. Wadi Rum, the valley of the moon according to Lawrence of Arabia; here you will have the opportunity to experience of the Jeep tour 4x4 for 2 hours to explore the most spectacular sites of the area ending with a cup of tea made by Bedouins as a refreshing after your visit.After your visit, check-in your camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - WADI RUM – AMMAN
After Breakfast, Drive to Amman for overnight.
Day 6 - AMMAN PANORAMIC CITY TUR - JERASH - AJLOUN –PETRA
Breakfast. We will make a panoramic visit of the city and then we will visit Jerash or Gerasa, a Greco-Roman city that was part of the Decapolis and is known as the Pompeii of the East due to its importance and its magnificent state of preservation. We can admire among others: Hadrian's Gate, the Hippodrome, the Theater, the Agora or forum with its complete colonnade, the Maximus Thistle, the Temple of Zeus and that of Artemis. Then we will visit Ajlun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and later rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after their destruction by the Mongols. It is a castle from the time of the Crusaders, located at the top of the mountain and from which a beautiful view is contemplated. Return to Amman. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7 - AMMAN - DESERT CASTLES - DEAD SEA – AMMAN
After breakfast, Proceed to the Eastern Desert to visit Al Kharraneh Castle, Amra Castle (a UNESCO World Heritage site), and Al Azraq Castle where Lawrence of Arabia resided and wrote part of his book Seven Pillars of Wisdom. Proceed to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth deep in the Jordan Valley and 55 km southeast of Amman, is the Dead Sea, one of the most spectacular natural and spiritual landscapes in the whole world. It is the lowest body of water on earth, the lowest point on earth, and the world's richest source of natural salts, hiding wonderful treasures that accumulated throughout thousands of years.
Day 8 - Amman – Amman Airport
After breakfast, transfer to QAIA for your next destination where your memorable tour comes to its end.
